Here are the top stories today in Boise:

  1. Ammon Bundy is now a wanted man. KMTV news staff report an Ada County Judge issued a civil arrest warrant on Tuesday for Ammon Bundy after the former candidate for governor has repeatedly failed to appear in court — or respond to a lawsuit filed by St. Luke’s Health System. Bundy's bail has been set at $10,000. (KMVT)
  2. Day 12 in the Lori Vallow Daybell trial centered much about finances and movement of money. EastIdahoNews reporter Nate Eaton writes an email was shown from Chad Daybell to a realtor in Hawaii interested in leasing a property and stating the lease would involve no children. In the afternoon, a paramedic from Arizona who was present when Vallow Daybell's first husband died was on the witness stand. Also in the afternoon were Arizona detectives involved in the investigation of Charles Vallow's death. One detective testified on how unemotional Vallow Daybell was when told her husband was dead from a gunshot fired by her brother. The final witness of the day is a former friend of Vallow Daybell and testified the defendant stated Charles Vallow had been turned into a demon named Ned Schneider. (eastidahonews)
  3. A former Boise English teacher had his teaching license suspended after a hearing before the
Idaho’s Professional Standards Commission. IdahoEdNews reporter Darren Svan reports the board found Khristopher Kohlmeier had inappropriate communication with a female high student for three years and after she left for college. In the emails, Kohlmeier expressed his love for the student and a desire to leave “everything and run to her if she says the word.” (idahoednews)
  4. If your Boise neighborhood is planning a party and want the Boise Police Department or Boise Fire Department to show up on a positive note, now is the time to let them know. Boise Patch reports registration is now open for the upcoming August National Night Out. Neighborhood organizers can request attendance from police, fire, paramedics, the mayor’s office, city council, and members of other local agencies and city departments. (Boise Patch)
  5. This upcoming Saturday is Earth Day and also the day the World Center for Birds of Prey outside of Boise will unveil its new features, exhibits and welcome center. KTVB-TV's Joe Parris reports the day full of special activities begins at 9 a.m. on Saturday with the ribbon cutting at World Center for Birds of Prey, located at 5668 West Flying Hawk Lane in Boise.
