Welcome to the Tuesday edition of the Boise Daily. A child playing a child's game caused quite a stir, including a police search and neighbors told to stay indoors. A neighboring state wants to place a tax on goods shipped into Idaho and we provide you with the newest jobs in the local market. Helping out on election day may soon be illegal and Bench residents should find a detour for a month.

Here are the top stories today in Boise:
- Here is a story of how times have changed. KTVB-TV staff report a citizen called law enforcement, reporting a man carrying a gun was seen in the area of State Street and Bogart Lane. A large number of people received a text alert, warning them to stay in their homes and police closed off an area for a search. In the end, a child with a toy gun proved to be the culprit. (KTVB.com)
- The State of Washington has an interesting idea to raise money. The state's legislature has proposed a tax of fuel shipped from Washington to Idaho by 6-cents per gallon. KBOI-AM reports Idaho Governor Brad Little has forwarded a letter to Washington's governor urging this bill be stopped. (KBOI)
- As the new week opens, the Boise Daily is once again here to advise readers of the newest jobs out there and looking for employees just like you. (Boise Patch)
- The Idaho House has passed a bill making it a misdemeanor to turn in absentee ballots for any person who is not a relative or roommate. The Idaho Capital Sun's Kelcie Mosely-Morris reports you face a misdemeanor conviction for dropping off your elderly neighbor's ballot on election day. (idahocapitalsun)
- Bench residents take note-CBS2 staff are warning you Roosevelt Street in Boise will be closing between Alpine and Bethel beginning Monday for construction. The closure is expected to remain in effect until March 21. (idahonews)

- Zoo admission is only $2 every Tuesday in February. Every senior, general and child admission will be discounted to $2 each Tuesday. Reciprocals are not accepted for these days. (10 a.m.)

- The Garden City Design Review Committee Hearing will take place on Tuesday. (3 p.m.)
- Join the Boise State Recreation Center for a free screening of the documentary, The Illusionists. This film explores the globalization of beauty, and it’s effects on body image. A brief discussion panel with Body Positive counselor, Amy Roberts, Director of Sports Nutrition, Samantha Wade, and BroncoFit Dietitian, Delainey Jones, will follow. (4 p.m.)
