Morning, people of Boise! It's me again, John Braese, your host of the Boise Daily.
When the weather decides to make a change in Boise, it makes a sweeping change. We can expect these cooler mornings for the rest of the week. The balloons are coming to the capital city, and a group of BSU students have been busy with NASA. A local race is going virtual while Boise's mayor admitted the city had it wrong.
First, today's weather: Clear throughout the day. High: 82, low: 57.

Boise Fact of the Day
The Spirit of Boise Balloon Classic was organized by balloonist Scott Spencer and began in 1991, featuring 10 balloons. The balloon classic was part of the Boise River Festival, and both events occurred together until 2002 when the Boise River Festival was discontinued. The balloon classic was cancelled 2007–2009 but returned in 2010 with balloon rides, free live music, and a variety of food vendors.
Prior to a formal name, balloons gathered in Boise for an informal celebration starting in 1974.
