Family Justice Center Foundation Awarded $5,000

Liberty Mutual and Safeco Insurance have awarded Pacific Crest Services a 2024 Make More Happen Award for its volunteerism with Family Justice Center Foundation, a nonprofit organization that strives to provide support for the Nampa Family Justice Center in their work providing services that promote safety, self-sufficiency, hope and healing to survivors of abuse. The award includes an initial donation of $5,000 for Family Justice Center Foundation which can be doubled to $10,000 just by having community supporters vote online.

Starting Monday, July 15, the Pacific Crest Services and Family Justice Center Foundation community story will be highlighted on the official Make More Happen microsite at www.agentgiving.com/Pacific-Crest-Services, where supporters can vote to help the team reach their donation goal. If the featured story receives at least 500 votes, the $5,000 donation will be raised to $10,000.

In 2023, the Nampa Family Justice Center provided 10,600 services which breaks down to 860 services per month. Also in 2023, the organization served an average of 130 new clients each month. The $10,000 donation will be used for client services including short term rentals, emergency housing and household needs such as groceries, fuel, transportation and home security devices.

Pacific Crest Services is dedicated to supporting organizations that support their community, especially one that helped an employee get out of a difficult and dangerous situation. Laura Jewett, who is a domestic violence abuse survivor and was served by the Nampa Family Justice Center, serves as Treasurer on the Justice Center Foundation board. She attends monthly meetings on the first Thursday of each month, and each week she spends a few hours working as the bookkeeper for the nonprofit. Pacific Crest Services leadership supports the Nampa Family Justice Center by attending fundraisers including the most important, the Light in the Window Gala event which is held every March.

Throughout 2024, Liberty Mutual and Safeco Insurance will select up to 37 independent agents nationwide for a Make More Happen Award donating up to $370,000 to the nonprofits they support. Agencies became eligible for the award by submitting an application and photos demonstrating their commitment to a specific nonprofit.
