1. Downtown Boise continues to grow and now a developer is requesting to add a 19-story apartment building at the corner of 6th Street and Front Street. Don Day of BoiseDev has the story of the additional 209 planned apartments.(BoiseDev)
2. The Idaho Capital Sun's Audrey Dutton tells more than 90 percent of current Idaho's COVID cases are those who have not been vaccinated. The state is now reporting fewer than 200 new cases per day. (IdahoCapitalSun)

4. Charles Fain spent 18 years on Idaho's death row for a crime he did not commit. Now, Fain has received a certificate of innocence and is eligible for compensation, as reported by Meredith Spelbring of KIVI. (KIVI)

Boise Community Calendar:
- The Garden City Book Club meets at 2 p.m. on Thursday. All are welcome.
- A Unity and Diversity Showcase will take place at the Garden City Library starting at 7 p.m. on Thursday.
- Encompass Health is holding a hiring event on Thursday starting at 7 a.m. at the St. Alphonsus Medical Center. This event is for all RNs, LPNs, and CNAs.
- Toddler Tales, a program for children ages 18 months to 3 years will be held Thursday at the Garden City Library starting at 10 a.m.
By all reports, Thursday will be the coldest day of the week so is a good time to catch up on the news with the Boise Daily. Temps are expected to return to normal this weekend.

About me: My grandmother raised her family on Walnut Street, just off Warm Springs Avenue. She had an old, two bedroom home for many years along with a little acreage to grow a garden and a huge apple tree. Returning to that site now, hard to imagine her home every stood there.
