Fruitland Community Search Yields No Results
Gathering together to search grid by grid, the search for Michael Joseph Vaughan continues after he was not found Thursday.

FRUITLAND, ID — The Fruitland community, joined by residents from around Payette County and Malheur County, Oregon gathered Thursday evening to search for missing 5-year-old Michael Joseph Vaughan.
Vaughan has been missing since Tuesday evening when he left his home to meet a friend. Law enforcement from around the Treasure Valley have searched for the boy joined by members of Search and Rescue.

Thursday evening, the community gathered at Fruitland High School. Upon arrival, they were assigned grids to search. No sign of the young boy was found.
Searching will continue throughout the weekend and Fruitland Police and Payette County Sheriff's Office leading the investigation.

Vaughan has blond hair, blue eyes and is about 3-foot-7 and weighs approximately 50 pounds. He goes by the nickname of "Monkey". He was last seen wearing a blue Minecraft t-shirt, dark blue shorts and blue flip flops.
Fruitland Police are asking the public's help in identifying people where were seen bear 8th and 9th streets and Cornwall Way in Fruitland between 6:30 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. on July 27. Anyone who was in the area or knows someone who was is asked to call Fruitland Police at 208 642-6006.
