Boise residents are about to see the first day of 100 degree temperatures, a day likely to set a new record. A Boise driver will not need to worry about keeping cool at home as he is jailed after running into fences, trees and a Boise Police Officer. Our state's governor and lieutenant governor also appear to be "hot under the collar", but our heat index has nothing to do with the issue - mask mandates are the sticking point. The Boise Daily has all these stories and more, including Boise celebrations of First Thursday.

Taking a look at the weather today:

  • Thursday: Clear throughout the day. Temps: High of 100° & low of 66°.

Patch Pick: The first week of June will feel like the first week of August as the heat sets in on Boise. The current record for June 3 in Boise is 98 degrees, a figure set in 2007. We should easily surpass the record and set a new one. The average temperature for June in Boise is 83 degrees. Plan on the thermometer hitting and very likely exceeding the 100 degree mark on Thursday.
