For all residents, government wants to hear even more as surveys on zoning and bicycles are out and need to be answered. The Boise School District is being asked for information on daily assignments and take a step back a few years for hot air balloons.

1. Staying with local governments, two entities are requesting the public's input on important subjects: new zoning codes and bicycle access around the city. (My story)
2. A candidate for Idaho lieutenant governor has filed a public records request to the Boise School District requesting daily assignments from Boise teachers. On any given night in 2020, 2,315 Idahoans were homeless, according to a report released by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development in March 2021.
Boise Community Calendar:
- The Capital City Market, Idaho's original, largest and oldest outdoor Farmer's Market, opens the doors at 9 a.m. Remember the market is now located at 34th Street Market in Garden City due to COVID.
- Kids can "Touch a Truck" on Saturday at the Children's Museum of Idaho starting at 10 a.m. The Idaho Potato Tour Truck, semi-trucks, tow trucks, and more will be on hand for this free event.
- The Lizard Butte Summer Festival 2021 will be held on Saturday in the parking lot of Lizard Butte Baptist Church in Marsing, Idaho. This event is completely free!
- Take a redhead to Gingerfest at the Old Idaho Pen. Join other redheads on Saturday for a celebration of all things red, including "Best Ginger" contests for kids and adults, red beer and wine, food trucks, red-themed games and prizes, music and more! About me: My grandmother raised her family on Walnut Street, just off Warm Springs Avenue. She had an old, two bedroom home for many years along with a little acreage to grow a garden and a huge apple tree. Returning to that site now, hard to imagine her home every stood there.
