No Parade + Goodbye Golden Wheel + All-Conference Baseball
A new week translates to seven days of news you need to know and available at the Boise Daily.

The Boise Daily opens the week with some disheartening news — the Independence Day Parade, a mainstay for the capital city for the past 20 years will not take place this year. In addition, unless someone steps up to take it over, the parade may be over for good. The Golden Wheel also has served it's last hamburger, but volunteers did step up to paint homes around the town over the weekend. Catch these stories and more in today's Boise Daily.
Taking a look at the weather today:
- Tuesday: Clear throughout the day. Temps: High of 90° and low of 52°.

The loss of a local parade is a huge blow to any community. I urge everyone to visit one of our outlying communities to enjoy their parade.

About me: With the growth of collegiate sports, I miss the old University of Idaho/Boise State University rivalries. Parents today miss the joy of having the house invaded by six or seven college students, home for the weekend and the game.
