Hey, people of Boise! It's me again, John Braese, your host of the Boise Daily.

Welcome to the mid-week edition of the Boise Daily. Boise residents may soon have one less establishment to watch a movie, while a local county department celebrated 50 years. A local doctor is one step closer to a board position, and a new superintendent speaks of the upcoming school year. Finally, the Boise Police need your help if you were downtown in the early morning Sunday.

First, today's weather: Clear throughout the day. High: 78, low: 53.

  5. The Boise Police had a busy weekend. A neighborhood disagreement over the volume of music led to an arrest after a rifle was fired from a porch. In addition, downtown Boise was the scene of a stabbing during a fight. Investigators are asking the public for assistance in the stabbing incident as no arrests have been made. (Boise Patch)
