  • Tuesday is also "Make Up Picture Day" for Timberline High School students. (8 a.m.)
  • Join GEAS and the Boise Bicycle Project as we participate in this year's Goathead Fest Collection effort. We need volunteers to help us remove the invasive plant puncture vine (a.k.a. goathead) at Warm Springs Park. Removing this pesky plant will improve bird habitat at the park and reduce flat tires for bicyclists along the Greenbelt. We will meet at the parking lot at 250 S Marden St., located right behind the Natatorium Pool. There is free parking and public restrooms available onsite. Please bring/wear the following: sturdy closed-toe shoes, sun protection (sun hat, sunglasses, sunscreen), water, snack if needed, mug for coffee. We will provide gloves and tools but you are welcome to bring your own. We will also have coffee generously provided by the Boise Bicycle Project! Questions? Email GEAS Volunteer Coordinator Adra Lobdell at alobdell@goldeneagleaudubon.org. (8 a.m.)
  • JUMP, Jam & Jive presents: Charlie & the Changelings! The venue opens at 5 p.m. (2 p.m.)

Boise Fact of the Day

Puncture vine, also known as goathead or Tribulus terrestris, is a warm seasonal annual that is native to the Mediterranean region of southern Europe. It was introduced to North America unintentionally by early European settlers when the plant's blasted burs snuck their way across the ocean in sheep wool.
