Shooting At ISU: Police Release Photos Of Person Of Interest
The shooting happened Sunday night, wounding one person, with the shooter still at large as of Monday morning.

NORMAL, IL — One person was shot Sunday night on the Illinois State University campus in Normal, university officials confirmed. As of Monday morning, the suspect was still at large, but police released a photo of a person of interest in the shooting.
According to the university, "in an isolated incident," a fight started between two groups of people at the campus' Bone Student Center. One person suffered a non-life-threatening gunshot wound, according to the university.
The school issued an emergency alert just before 8 p.m. Sunday, warning students of reports of shots fired at the Bone Student Center.

"Stay away from Bone and near University/Locust Streets," ISU said in the alrt. "Police are looking for slender black male 5'10”, black afro hair style, wearing all black. Last seen running south from University and College Streets."
Just before 9 p.m., the university said there was one reported victim, and the police were still searching for the shooter. No shelter in place order was issued.

The shooting happened during an event run by a student organization, but the victim is not an ISU student, according to a report by 25NewsNow.
"ISUPD responded with all available resources, and we are grateful for the assistance of Normal Police, Bloomington Police, McLean County Sheriff, Illinois State Police, and Normal Fire Department who rapidly responded to support our community," ISU said Monday morning. "Dozens of officers worked through the night processing evidence, responding to calls and tips, and providing an extra presence on campus."
On Monday morning, ISU said all events scheduled for Monday at the Bone Student Center were canceled. Classes were still scheduled to be held.
Eyewitnesses were asked to email ISUPolice@ilstu.edu with any information. Anyone with information can also call 309-438-8631, officials said.
ISU said it would provide counseling services for students and staff.
