Police said a father concerned about his daughter being bullied showed up to the high school, shoved two teenage girls and punched a man in the face, before a woman entered the squabble and deployed pepper spray, hitting a school employee and a 2-year-old child.

Man Stabs Woman Inside Closed Portillo's Restaurant In Domestic Incident: Police

Police said a man and two women were part of an overnight cleaning crew at the restaurant when the man stabbed one of the women in a domestic incident. The two women were able to flee, and the man was found inside the restaurant with a self-inflicted injury three hours later, according to officials.

11 Kids Hurt When 3 School Buses Crash

Eleven children were taken to local hospitals with minor injuries after police say one bus driver caused a chain-reaction crash, striking a bus in front of it on I-55 and causing that bus to hit a third bus.

"Last Friday, our beloved Stella – a 4-year-old, 12 pound shih tzu bichon mix – ran away from our dog-sitter’s home," the owner wrote. "We were out of town celebrating college graduations for two of our children. For well-intentioned reasons, she waited until after the last graduation to tell us that Stella had been missing for two days. We were devastated and frantic about getting home to find her. It was a nightmare."

'1 In A Million' Find As Woman Spies Rare Blue-Eyed Cicada

A south suburban woman and lover of exotic animals got quite a thrill as she gazed down at 200 pairs of cicada eyes earlier this week — not the striking (or demonic, as some joke) red eyes they're known for. Instead, bright blue. Instead of donating the striking specimen to a Chicago museum, "I’m going to have him taxidermied," she said. "I'm going to keep him."
