DoorDash Driver Delivering Pizza Robbed At Gunpoint

The driver said he delivered a pizza order to two people, but they did not have enough money to pay for it. They both left, but police said one of them returned and pointed a handgun at the driver, taking his wallet, cellphone and pizza.

Murder Charges Filed In 2023 Death Of Nearly Decapitated Woman

A 34-year-old registered sex offender has been charged with murder, more than six months after the body of his girlfriend was found in a duffel bag inside his apartment with her head nearly severed. He was previously only charged with concealing her death, after the State’s Attorney’s Office refused to charge him with murder and told police to find more evidence.

Staffer With July 4 Parade Shooting PTSD Fired By Park District

The 41-year-old was at the parade route during the shooting, the deadliest by a single gunman in state history, and helped evacuate attendees, notify residents and locate survivors, he told reporters. He returned to work immediately after the shooting, but took a leave of absence after he suffered a panic attack when a student brought a gun to a nearby high school.
