Alanis Morissette Added As Headliner To Illinois State Fair Line-up
The Canadian rocker known for 1995's "Jagged Little Pill" joins country music star Tim McGraw as the main musical attractions at the fair.
SPRINGFIELD, IL —The Illinois State Fair always delivers when it comes to musical entertainment, and this year’s annual summer extravaganza is no different.
A week after fair organizers announced a set of headliners including country music star Tim McGraw as the event’s headliner, the lineup added another big name on Tuesday. Fair officials announced that Canadian rocker Alanis Morissette will join the schedule as a fellow main attraction for music lovers.
Morissette, who has won seven Grammy Awards, will perform on Sunday, Aug. 13 on the fair’s main stage. Morissette’s 1995 hit album “Jagged Little Pill” includes some of her biggest songs, including “You Oughta Know,” “Hand In My Pocket,” and “You Learn”.

Tickets for the latest show go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday on Ticketmaster.
The fair runs from Aug. 10-20.

Organizers previously announced other musical acts performing at the grandstand. All shows start at 8 p.m.

• REO Speedwagon: Tuesday, Aug. 15
• Alter Bridge: Wednesday, Aug. 16
• Tim McGraw: Thursday, Aug. 17
• Maren Morris, Saturday, Aug. 19
• Nelly with Ashanti and Ja Rule: Sunday, Aug. 20
Fairgrounds are open from 7 a.m. to midnight for the duration of the fair.
