BelVita Products Sold In IL Recalled; May Contain Peanut Allergen
The breakfast sandwich products were sold in Walmart and Kroger stores across the state and country and are causing peanut allergy illness.

ILLINOIS — Two varieties of belVita Breakfast Sandwich products sold in Illinois are being recalled because they may contain peanuts, according to a recall notice from the Food and Drug Administration.
The recall comes after three unconfirmed reports of peanut allergy illnesses were linked to the product, according to the notice, which said the possible contamination came from cross-contact on a single manufacturing line.
FDA officials said on the agency's website that officials become aware of the issue with the products during an internal manufacturing inspection when peanut residue was found on the line.
