ILLINOIS — Claude the Hamster wants to help you win the lottery. Chosen for his love of scratching (you know, tickets), the lovable rodent is featured in this year's holiday campaign from the Illinois Lottery.
You can watch Claude via webcam, and viewers are invited to give Claude different toys to play with and food to eat to see how he reacts.
Do hamsters like cheese puffs? Or Shakespeare? Find out. Want to take him out to a nice candlelight dinner, or see who he kisses under the mistletoe? You can do that too.

"Viewers have the chance not just to fall more in love with this furry little guy, but to win prizes and bring some joy into the holiday season," according to a news release.

"Knowing how much our pets have helped us get through 2020, the Lottery is giving viewers the chance to see more of Claude with some exclusive behind the scenes footage of this celebrity hamster," lottery officials said.
