Chicago-Area Community Pools, Splash Pads: 2025 Opening Dates

Here's where you can swim and cool off this summer.

ILLINOIS — The arrival of Memorial Day weekend usually signifies the unofficial start of summer, as many area schools finish the year and the weather (hopefully) starts to heat up.

And with the start of summer, in many Patch towns, community outdoor pools and splash pads are opening.

  • Algonquin: Lions Armstrong Memorial Pool, opening on May 31
  • Arlington Heights: Heritage Pool and Recreation Pool, opening on May 24
  • Arlington Heights: Pioneer Pool and Camelot Pool, opening on May 31

  • Aurora: Phillips Park Family Aquatic Center, opens on May 31
