IL Man Wanted In Shootout Outside Beloved Restaurant Captured In Georgia, Extradition Next: Sheriff
Three local businesses, including an iconic restaurant celebrating its 91st anniversary, were struck by gunfire and several vehicles were also hit as shooters engaged in a gun battle on a busy street during broad daylight. Over the weekend, police say one of the shooters — a 20-year-old suburban man — was captured by U.S. Marshals in Georgia.

Man, 39, Dies After Shot In Head In Domestic Incident, 3 Others Wounded: Police
Four people were shot, including a 12-year-old, two 19-year-olds and a 39-year-old man who later died, in what police are calling a domestic incident. A suspect is in custody.
No Relationship Between 2 People Found Dead In Motel: Police
Police say they do not believe there was any relationship between a 24-year-old woman who was found shot to death in a motel room and a 62-year-old man who died of a self-inflicted gunshot in an adjacent room.

Off-Duty Police Officer Shoots, Kills Pit Bull During Attack On Her Dog
The pit bull started biting the officer's dog's neck, and the officer and the pit bull's owner could not separate the dogs, police said.
Blaze Breaks Out At Apartment Complex Sunday: Fire Officials
A resident at the apartment was able to use a fire extinguisher to put out the blaze out prior to the fire department's arrival, fire officials said.
Detectives Search For Gunman Who Robbed Convenience Store
At around 11:30 a.m. Saturday, police said the man entered the store, pulled out a gun and demanded money from the clerk, according to the sheriff's office. The gunman wore a face covering, yellow coat, tan pants and gloves.
