The affected bottles were sold between April 25 and Aug. 26 in Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, North Dakota, Nebraska, Ohio, South Dakota or Wisconsin.

Costco is advising customers not to return the bottles but to instead wrap them, unopened, in paper towels, place them in a plastic bag and put the bag in the garbage.

Affected members who receive the notice from Costco about the issue will be entitled to a full refund upon returning the letter to their nearest Costco store.
