"A strong warm front will lift north tonight into Friday morning, accompanied by showers and scattered thunderstorms," the weather service said on its Facebook.

Hail could be up to 1 inch in diameter, and heavy downpours could cause ponding on some roads. The highest chance for isolated hail is roughly south of a Dixon to Watseka line, the weather service said.
