Home Decor Retailer To File For Bankruptcy: See IL Stores

The company has been struggling with cash flow in recent months, according to Bloomberg.

ILLINOIS — Home decor retail chain At Home is planning to file for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in the weeks to come, Bloomberg reported this week, citing people knowledgeable about the situation.

The business, owned by Hellman & Friedman, has been struggling with cash flow in recent months amid President Donald Trump’s tariff rollout, according to Bloomberg, which added, citing separate knowledgeable people, that At Home Group Inc. missed its May 15 interest payment and entered a lender forbearance pact on May 23.

“These agreements provide us flexibility as we continue to take steps to position At Home for near and long-term success,” a company spokesperson told Bloomberg in an emailed statement.

The Dallas-based home goods chain on May 16 announced that Brad Weston, most recently the top executive at Party City, would take over as CEO of At Home effective June 3.
