ILLINOIS — Illinois continues to be the state with the highest recorded number of tornadoes so far in 2023, after more twisters touched down Sunday in the state.
While the Chicago area was spared, Central Illinois got hit.
The National Weather Service in Lincoln reported tornado damage in Taylorville, Pawnee and Glenarm, Illinois.

According to WCIA, homes were damaged in Pawnee, but no injuries were reported, while Christian County officials were busy assessing damage.

One home in Christian County was a "complete loss" in a tornado there, the outlet reported.
The residents of the Taylorville home were not there when the tornado hit, and no injuries were reported, WAND-TV reported. Several other homes had minor damage.
