30 Lucky Places To Buy Powerball Tickets For Saturday's Drawing In Chicagoland

ILLINOIS – Is it possible for lighting to strike twice in the same place? How about three or four times? Powerball mania has gripped Chicagoland after another rollover Wednesday night, the jackpot has climbed to an astonishing $950 million and is likely to break $1 billion by Saturday’s drawing.

Nobody in the 45 states where Powerball is played matched the numbers in Wednesday’s drawing 9-12-22-41-61 + 25.

While there were no winners of the $851 million jackpot – now the fifth largest in lotto history –
there were Match 5 + Power Play winners in Mississippi, Ohio and Virginia who each took home $2 million. There were also Match 5 tickets valued at $1 million sold in Arizona, New York and Virginia

In Illinois, one lucky player matched four of the Power Play numbers, winning themselves $50,000.

With the jackpot expected to break $1 billion, Powerball mania has gripped Chicagoland. Players are ducking into corner convenience stores, gas stations and supermarkets to snap up a ticket or two, for another shot at winning a life-changing fortune in the next drawing this Saturday, Aug. 30, at 9:59 CT.
