In one incident, an escaped African wildcat chased down a neighbor and cornered her while she was walking her dog. In addition to certain cats, the law would also ban ownership of other animals, including kangaroos and wallabies — which are currently legal to have as pets in Illinois.

Laura Ricketts's 'Defective' Mansion Leads To Legal Battles

A member of the billionaire family that owns the Chicago Cubs, she ended up spending about twice as much as she expected much to build her lakefront mansion due to its botched construction, court filings say. In December 2016, a consultant hired by Ricketts to assess issues with the house identified "defects in every room of the project and 1,200 items that needed correction."

Airbnb 'Unsettling' For Neighbor

"The garbage piled up in the alley as it overflowed... They were cycling through, sometimes two groups in a weekend. It became really unsettling and at times quite frightening," she said of the Airbnb, which she claims was the site of a large Super Bowl party last year. "We didn't buy a home next to a hotel, certainly not one without a security staff," she said.
