Halloween Week Storm System Targets Chicago Area: See Latest Forecast
Here's what kind of weather can trick-or-treaters look forward to on Oct. 31.
Temperatures stay seasonable this week, although a "passing storm system" will bring rain to the Chicago area mid-week, according to the National Weather Service.
Monday will have a high of 62, and it will be sunny and dry. Chances of rain return on Tuesday, which will have a high of 60 degrees.
"A passing storm system will bring rain chances to the area midweek, though the better potential exists mainly west and south of the Chicago metro," the weather service said via Facebook.

Chances of rain continue on Wednesday, which will be slightly cooler, with a high of 56 degrees.
"Seasonable temps continue through the end of the month," the weather service said.

Friday brings the end of October; so what kind of weather can trick or treaters look forward to on Oct. 31?
According to the weather service, Halloween look to have a high of 56 degrees. While historical data shows that Oct. 31 is the "normal" first date for a trace of snow; it doesn't look like any snowflakes will fall this year.
Meanwhile, AccuWeather is calling for "times of sun and clouds" on Friday, with a high of 54 degrees.

MONDAY: Sunny, with a high near 58. East wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.
MONDAY NIGHT: Partly cloudy, with a low around 43. East wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
TUESDAY: A 20 percent chance of showers after 4 p.m. Partly sunny, with a high near 58. East wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
TUESDAY NIGHT: A 40 percent chance of rain. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 45. East wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.
WEDNESDAY: A 40 percent chance of rain. Mostly sunny, with a high near 55. Breezy, with an east northeast wind 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph.
WEDNESDAY NIGHT: A 30 percent chance of rain, mainly before 1 a.m. Partly cloudy, with a low around 43.
THURSDAY: A 20 percent chance of showers. Partly sunny, with a high near 54.
THURSDAY NIGHT: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 39.
FRIDAY: Partly sunny, with a high near 54.
FRIDAY NIGHT: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 36.
