Severe Storms, 45 MPH Winds Possible For Chicago Area
As near-record warmth continues, storms with lightning, quarter-size hail and damaging winds could hit Thursday.

ILLINOIS — As near-record warm temperatures remain in the Chicago area, severe weather is possible Thursday evening, with scattered storms, damaging winds, hail and lightning strikes.
The National Weather Service said isolated strong to severe storms can't be ruled out Thursday evening, with the likeliest window for severe weather between 5 and 9 p.m.
Gusty winds of up to 45 mph, capable of moving light objects and making travel difficult for high-profile vehicles, are also expected through 6 p.m.
