Severe Storms Possible Friday For Chicago Area

There is a level 2 out of 5 risk of severe storms for Friday, the weather service said.

ILLINOIS — After a dry day expected on Thursday, severe storms are possible on Friday afternoon and evening, according to the National Weather Service.

Thursday will feature one more day of sunny weather, with a high of 82 degrees. The upcoming holiday weekend will have a chance of rain on Friday, Sunday and Monday.


There is a level 2 out of 5 risk of severe storms for Friday, the weather service said. Storms look to be possible mainly after 1 p.m.
