CHICAGO — The springtime conditions that never seemed to arrive before last week’s flirtation with summer will settle in this week around the greater Chicago area when temperatures will remain pleasant while rain chances will remain minimal.

After the region saw temperature readings into the low 90s last week, things will settle back into the 60s and 70s this week with a few days that will feel downright cool after last week’s warm-up.

The work week will start off pleasant on Monday, with mostly sunny skies and temperatures in the low 70s, the National Weather Service is predicting. There will be a slight chance of rain on Monday afternoon and evening before things cool off considerably for Tuesday and Wednesday.
