Storms Possible Monday As Cold Front Brings Cooler Temps To Chicago Area
The weather service said isolated thunderstorms are possible Monday afternoon through Monday night.

After a summer-like weekend, temperatures will turn slightly more seasonable this week, according to the National Weather Service.
The weather service said Monday will be the "last unseasonably warm day this week." Monday will have a high of 86, before a cold front will move through the area, bringing a chance of rain and even isolated storms.
The weather service said isolated thunderstorms are possible Monday afternoon through Monday night.

There is a slight chance of rain on Tuesday morning, but the rest of the week looks sunny.
"Dry weather and more typical early October temperatures are expected the rest of the week," the weather service said.

MONDAY: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 4 p.m. Mostly sunny, with a high near 83. West southwest wind 5 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
MONDAY NIGHT: A chance of showers and thunderstorms, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 7 p.m. Cloudy, with a low around 59. North wind 5 to 10 mph becoming east northeast in the evening. Chance of precipitation is 70 percent. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
TUESDAY: A 30 percent chance of showers, mainly before 10 a.m. Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 66. North wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
TUESDAY NIGHT: Mostly clear, with a low around 48. North wind around 5 mph, with gusts as high as 15 mph.
WEDNESDAY: Sunny, with a high near 64. Northeast wind 5 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 15 mph.
WEDNESDAY NIGHT: Mostly clear, with a low around 43.
THURSDAY: Sunny, with a high near 65.
THURSDAY NIGHT: Mostly clear, with a low around 44.
FRIDAY: Mostly sunny, with a high near 67.
FRIDAY NIGHT: Mostly clear, with a low around 49.
