Storms, Showers Possible For IL As Meteorological Summer Begins
Rain and a "few embedded thunderstorms" are expected to develop early Saturday, but no severe weather is expected.
ILLINOIS — The month of May will close out with a pleasant day, before storms are expected to start June off on Saturday.
Friday will have a high of 80 degrees, and should be dry and sunny, according to the National Weather Service.
"Unfortunately, though, Saturday will be showery and cool to kick off the first weekend of June and meteorological summer," the weather service said on its Facebook.

Rain and a "few embedded thunderstorms" are expected to develop early Saturday, but no severe weather is expected. Saturday will be cooler with a high of 71 degrees, according to the weather service.

Temperatures will warm again on Sunday, which will have an expected high of 81 degrees. It looks to be "dry and seasonable," the weather service said on its Facebook.

Monday will also be warm with a high of 83 degrees, but there could be a chance of showers and storms, and it will be more humid, according to the weather service forecast.
