ILLINOIS — Temperatures could hit the high 60s on Saturday and low 60s for Easter Sunday, but don't expect sunshine over the holiday weekend.
Chances for showers and thunderstorms will return Friday night, lasting through the weekend and into next week, according to the National Weather Service.

"The weather pattern will turn much more active as we head through this weekend and into next week, with multiple chances for showers and thunderstorms," NWS said.
Friday will bring highs of 66 for much of the Chicago area, although temperatures will be in the 40s along the lake. Friday night, there's a 70 to 90 percent chance of storms, with a low of 39 degrees.

Temperatures will reach the upper 60s Saturday, with 50s near the lake, and another chance for storms.
More storm chances come Sunday, with a high of 62 degrees for most of the area (40s near the lake) before increased chances of storms and a low of 38 at night.
