Strong Storms Possible Tuesday Before 'Quiet' Conditions In Illinois

ILLINOIS — After possible storms on Tuesday afternoon, the rest of the week looks to be mostly dry with highs in the 70s, according to the National Weather Service.

Scattered showers and storms are possible Tuesday afternoon into the evening, the weather service said. There could be a few stronger storms, with a threat of gusty wind or small hail.

"Conditions will then quiet down for a couple of days with temperatures warming into the weekend," the weather service said on its Facebook.

The high on Tuesday will be 74 degrees.

Temperatures will warm closer to 80 the rest of the week, with a high of 72 on Wednesday, 74 on Thursday and 77 on Friday.

The next chance of rain after Tuesday looks like possibly Friday night and Saturday, according to the weather service forecast.
