Summer Campers at Five Chesterbrook Academy Preschools Donate $6,000 to St. Jude Children's Hospital
Students participated in a Trike-A-Thon to raise money for childhood cancer and disease research
Summer Campers at five Chesterbrook Academy Preschool locations in Illinois including – Bartlett, Lisle, Westmont, Naperville, and Wheaton – recently hosted a Trike-A-Thon and raised $6,455 to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Campers and their families gathered to ride bikes, tricycles, and scooters around a homemade course in support of St. Jude’s research to treat childhood cancer and other illnesses.
Chesterbrook Academy Preschool instills a sense of social responsibility at an early age by implementing opportunities for students to learn about the importance of giving back to their communities and helping others in need. Its signature Links to Learning preschool curriculum emphasizes social-emotional learning as a stepping stone for kindergarten and beyond. Teachers work with children to help recognize and label emotions in themselves and others, while learning how they fit into their community and the larger world.
