ILLINOIS — A community is mourning after an 18-year-old woman was killed in a prom night crash that also left the driver of the vehicle injured, police said.

Meanwhile, the FBI was searching for three suspects involved in a brazen, broad daylight armed robbery of an armored truck in the suburbs.

And police continue to investigate a rash of suburban business burglaries, with nearly a dozen additional burglaries reported over the weekend.

The three robbers approached the Loomis armored truck with guns drawn, according to surveillance images. Other surveillance images show suspects carrying a cash box and guns.

Male Steals Vehicle From Police Station, Causes 4-Car Crash In Suburbs, Cops Say

The key was inside, the engine was running, and the owner was standing nearby when the suspect stole the vehicle, police said. As the suspect fled, he crossed into oncoming traffic, hitting another vehicle, and debris from the crash struck two additional vehicles.

A 27-year-old woman is facing two felony charges of aggravated battery.

Man Charged After Barricade Incident At 'Uninhabitable' Home

Concerned for the residents' safety, deputies forced their way into the home through a barricaded door. Two pets were later removed from the home due to hazardous living conditions, and the home was deemed uninhabitable, authorities said.
