The man has since been discharged from the hospital and appeared in a wheelchair in court, police said. He's accused of killing the daughter of a woman he had been in a relationship with, then continuing to stab the woman before he was shot by police.

Police say the woman hid with her infant in a bedroom closet, and armed herself after hearing an intruder enter the home. Department of corrections records show the man had been paroled earlier this year after serving time for multiple burglaries and other offenses.

Ice Cream Shop Owner Secretly Recorded Underage Female Employees With Fake Wall Outlet: Police
A 58-year-old ice cream shop owner is accused of installing hidden cameras in the bathroom and asking underage employees to model Flavor Frenzy T-shirts, including asking at least one minor to remove her bra for photos. Police say they discovered videos taken of underage employees and are looking to ID more victims after receiving an anonymous complaint about a hidden camera.
