Jewel, Walmart, Whole Foods: Thanksgiving 2025 Grocery Store Hours For Chicago Area
Thanksgiving is just days away — you might want to start shopping those grocery lists soon.
Many national and regional supermarket chains with grocery stores in Illinois will be open at least part of Thanksgiving Day to fill the last-minute shopping needs of people who forgot to buy cranberry sauce or ran short of butter.
However, many major retailers have continued the trend of closing for the holiday, including Aldi, Costco, Target and Walmart, which will all be closed on Nov. 27 for Thanksgiving.
Store hours may vary by location, so as always, it’s a good idea to call ahead to make sure you don’t waste a trip.
