These 3 IL Sandwich Shops Ranked Among 100 Best In America By Yelp

ILLINOIS — Three of America’s top 100 sandwich shops are in Illinois, according to a recent ranking from Yelp.

The business review website this year released its first-ever Top 100 Sandwich Shops list, based on numerous factors, among them review volume and ratings, according to Yelp.

Franky’s Deli Warehouse in Hialeah, Florida, took the No. 1 spot; Sierra Subs and Salads in Three Rivers, California, ranked No. 2; and Tony's Beechhurst Deli in Whitestone, New York, came in at No. 3.

Prairie State shops that cracked the top 100 include:

• No. 36., Omarcitos Latin Cafe, Chicago: This Logan Square spot specializing in Latin American street food, such as its citrus garlic marinated pulled pork and Cuban-style shredded beef, was featured on the Food Network's "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives."
• No. 62., 11 Degrees North, Chicago: This Lakeview business celebrates the arepa, serving up pulled pork, chicken and even portobello mushrooms on gluten-free Venezuelan bread.
• No. 76., Finuccio and Sons Italian Deli and Catering, Schaumburg: Enjoy Italian classics at this suburban shop, such as a caprese sandwich with fresh mozzarella or a prosciutto and Parmesan panini, all on homemade bread.
