These IL Malls, Shopping Venues Among the Best In New Survey

ILLINOIS — If you need some retail therapy, Illinois retail centers have ranked among the best in the country, according to a new survey from USA Today.

According to USA Today's 10Best Readers' Choice Awards for 2025, Illinois is home to one of the best shopping centers and one of the top 10 outlet malls.

"The most remarkable shopping centers aren't just places to buy things; they're community gathering spots that provide a clean, safe, and enjoyable environment for their many visitors," reads the ranking.

Voting is still underway in some categories, but here's what we know so far about the performance of Illinois retail centers in the voting.

Best Shopping Centers

In fourth place: Oakbrook Center

What USA Today had to say about it: "Oakbrook Center offers an elegant open-air shopping experience just west of Chicago, with green spaces filled with interactive art installations, as well as over 170 stores. The center features a mix of upscale retailers, national brands, and dining options that range from quick bites to chef-driven restaurants. Best Outlet Malls

In third place: Fashion Outlets of Chicago
