White Male Law Student Sues Chicago Bears For Race, Sex Discrimination

A law student has filed a federal civil rights lawsuit against the Chicago Bears Monday, accusing employees of the NFL team of a conspiracy against white men. He filed a charge against the Bears with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission on Feb. 1, according to his suit. The commission dismissed the charge and notified him and the Bears of his right to sue on Feb. 28.

US Airport Nasal Swabbing Expanding To Chicago

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention program asks arriving international passengers to volunteer to have their noses swabbed and answer questions about their travel. The program operates at six airports and on Tuesday, the CDC said it was adding two more — Chicago's O'Hare and Miami.

Measles Spreading In Chicago; Case Count Reaches 10

The cases are the city’s first in five years, and a team from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention arrived Tuesday in Chicago to help curb the spread of the virus, according to the Chicago Department of Public Health. The U.S. is experiencing a resurgence of measles, and cases have been reported in 17 states so far. Measles is a highly contagious and serious respiratory infection that causes a rash and high fever and can lead to pneumonia and other complications, authorities said. It can be particularly challenging for babies and young children.

IL Companies Collab: Claire's Coming To Over 4K Walgreens Stores

By the end of month, two Illinois-based companies will partner up as Claire's will begin selling its products for tween and teen girls at more than 4,000 Walgreens locations in the United States. Claire's and Walgreens announced the collaboration this week.

Man Who Caused Fatal Boat Crash Convicted Of 3rd DUI

A man who spent 10 years in prison for operating a boat while intoxicated and causing a crash that killed a 21-year-old woman in 2008 has been convicted again for driving while under the influence.
