Woman Bites Cop In Retail Theft Arrest: Police
A woman being arrested in a retail theft case Friday punched an officer in the chest and bit him in the right bicep, police said. The 18-year-old is now charged with aggravated battery to a police officer.
Pedestrian Killed In Hit-And-Run Is Identified: Coroner
A 62-year-old man was killed in the Saturday night incident. Police say they've found the vehicle involved, but not the driver.
'Batman Don't Plead Guilty': Police Whistleblower Vindicated
Felony charges against a whistleblower retired cop who released video of a Black man's in-custody death have been dropped. "They wanted a plea, real bad," his attorney said. "I had one simple answer: 'Batman don't plead guilty.'"

A husband and wife were killed, while a mother and her 12-year-old daughter were taken to an area hospital with injuries.
Donations Sought After Fires At Homeless Encampment
After putting out one blaze, firefighters found the remains of a dog while searching the structures, according to police. A second fire was reported Dec. 4. The cause of the fires remains under investigation.

Cop Being Fired Had 'Unsafe' Driving Record: 2 New Lawsuits
The officer resumed pursuit of a fleeing vehicle after the chase had been terminated, leading to a crash that seriously injured one woman, according to two lawsuits filed against police. The officer did not have a valid driver's at the time of the incident and had previously been disciplined for riding a motorcycle without registration, insurance or license, as well as failing to yield to an emergency vehicle.
Latest Deadly Crash On I-55: Motorist, 69, Strikes Tree And Dies
The 69-year-old driver and his two passengers were traveling northbound on Interstate 55, when the vehicle left the roadway and traveled approximately 150 feet through a ditch, before striking a tree.
