1 Airlifted To Hospital Following Monday McHenry County Crash

MARENGO, IL — One person was seriously injured in a collision on County Line and Kishwaukee Valley roads on Monday afternoon near Marengo.
The Marengo Fire & Rescue District responded to the rollover collision, which happened at about 2:45 p.m. Monday, according to a news release from the fire and rescue district. Both drivers in the two-vehicle collision were able to get out of their vehicles before emergency crews arrived.
A helicopter landed near the collision site to take the driver of the sedan to a hospital in Rockford for further treatment, authorities said. The driver of a minivan was evaluated at the scene and declined any further medical care, according to officials.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
