1 In Custody After Standoff At Algonquin Home

Authorities were called to the home in the 300 block of Diamondback Way on Sunday.

ALGONQUIN, IL — A 35-year-old man faces domestic battery and aggravated domestic battery charges after a police standoff at an Algonquin home Sunday evening, authorities said.

Kyle S. Goltz initially refused to cooperate with officers when they were called to the scene of the domestic disturbance in the 300 block of Diamondback Way, according to police. Additional officers were called to the scene and Goltz eventually came out of the home.

He was taken into custody and has been charged with two counts of domestic battery and one count of aggravated domestic battery/strangulation, police said.
