2 Seriously Injured In I-90 Crashes
Two collisions happened Thursday evening on Interstate 90 near the Route 47 exit.
HUNTLEY, IL — Two people were seriously injured in crashes that happened Thursday evening on Interstate 90 near Huntley.
The first two-vehicle crash happened at about 5:20 p.m. in the eastbound lanes of I-90 near the Route 47 exit and one of the drivers was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, authorities said. The Daily Herald is reporting the second crash happened about a mile away when a vehicle collided with a semi-trailer truck, trapping the driver of the vehicle inside.
Police said that driver was also seriously injured and transported to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries, according to the news report.

The collision led to three lanes of I-90 and the Route 47 off-ramp being closed for nearly five hours.
