Car Crashes Into Home In Algonquin: Police

The crash happened near Compton Drive and Mahogany Court at about 5:05 p.m. Wednesday.

ALGONQUIN, IL — The driver of a car was injured when he crashed into a home in Algonquin Wednesday evening, police said.

The collision happened near Compton Drive and Mahogany Court at about 5:05 p.m., according to a news release from the Algonquin Police Department.

The Ford pickup truck was headed east on Compton Drive, left the roadway and ran into the front of a home on Mahogany Court. The residents were inside the home at the time of the incident but were not injured, police said.

The driver of the vehicle, a 26-year-old Algonquin man, was transported to Northwestern Medicine Huntley Hospital for treatment of injuries that are not considered life-threatening.

Police said there is no indication that alcohol or drugs were factors in the crash. A potential
medical episode may have lead to the collision, according to the news release.
