Cat, Dog Die In East Dundee House Fire

EAST DUNDEE, IL — A dog and cat died in a house fire in East Dundee Tuesday afternoon, fire officials said.
The blaze broke out just after 2 p.m. Tuesday at a home in the 500 block of Reese Avenue in East Dundee, according to the Daily Herald. Fire crews tried to save two cats and a dog but only one cat survived.
The blaze caused $100,000 in damage, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
