Child, 12, Hit By Vehicle Near Marlowe Middle School

ALGONQUIN, IL — A 12-year-old child is recovering after being hit by a car at Haligus and Reed roads on Sunday evening.

The Huntley Fire Protection District was called to the scene of the collision at about 6:10 p.m. and evaluated both the child and the driver of the vehicle that hit the child, according to a news release from the fire protection district.

Both were released at the scene with no reported injuries.

The cause of the incident remains under investigation.
