District 300 Calendar For 2024-25: Key Dates To Know

ALGONQUIN AND LAKE IN THE HILLS, IL — Summer is almost over for Algonquin and Lake in the Hills students. The first day of school in District 15 is Aug. 14.

Here are some of the important 2024-25 school year dates to get on the calendar:

• Start date: Aug. 13
• Late start days: Aug. 28, Sept. 11, Oct. 2, Dec. 11, Jan. 22, Feb. 5, March 5, April 9, May 7
• Labor Day (no school): Sept. 2
• End of quarter: Oct. 10
• No student attendance: Oct. 11
• District holiday/offices and schools closed: Oct. 14
• Teacher institute day/no student attendance: Oct. 25
• Fall break/offices and schools closed: Nov. 27-29
• End of quarter/semester: Dec. 20
• Winter break/no student attendance: Dec. 23-Jan. 3
• Martin Luther King Day (no school, offices closed): Jan. 20
• Presidents Day (no school): Feb. 17
• Teacher institute day/Kane County ROE: Feb. 28
• End of quarter: March 14
• Spring break: March 31-April 4
