MARENGO, IL — An elderly man was flown to a hospital after falling off a roof in McHenry County Monday afternoon.

The Marengo Fire & Rescue Districts were called to the 1100 block of Foxglove Lane in Marengo at about 2 p.m. for a report of an elderly man who had fallen 10 feet from the roof, according to a news release.

A medical helicopter was called to the scene and the man was taken to Javon Bea Hospital Riverside in Rockford for treatment of serious injuries, authorities said.
