Firefighter Injured In Blaze At Lake In The Hills Home
The home on Anderson Drive is currently uninhabitable.
LAKE IN THE HILLS, IL — A firefighter was injured and a home in Lake in the Hills is uninhabitable following a fire Sunday evening in the 600 block of Anderson Drive.
The Algonquin-Lake in the Hills Fire Protection District was called to the two-story home at about 8:45 p.m. for a report of a heavy fire coming from the back of the home, the Daily Herald is reporting. The blaze was brought under control within 20 minutes.
Fire officials said one firefighter sustained injuries that are not considered life-threatening, according to the article. The home is currently uninhabitable, and the cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
